Helen R. Walton Children's Enrichment Center Celebrates #GivingTuesday with a new online store, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on December 1, 2020.
This GivingTuesday, the center will inspire generosity by launching an online store to benefit the Sliding Scale Tuition Program, ensuring more families have access to high quality early childhood education.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 1, 2020, and throughout the year.
This year, our GivingTuesday efforts support our commitment to providing families access to the highest quality of early childhood education and care. The Helen R. Walton Children’s Enrichment Center uses a sliding scale tuition program based on the gross annual income guidelines in relation to total household size. Applications are accepted year round and the program is administered on a first-come, first-serve basis until all funds are exhausted.
GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
People demonstrate generosity in many ways on GivingTuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts. GivingTuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes around the world and gets 21 billion impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for the causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved in their communities.
The center will launch the online store featuring the many great products used at the healthy campus, a first of its kind in the nation. The store will launch on the center’s website, allowing families and friends to purchase healthy, safe products for your families and home.
