NAEYC ACCREDITATION
We are excited to report that we are working through the NAEYC Accreditation process with the goal of achieving national accreditation status by December 2024. This is the highest accreditation level in the US that an educational facility can achieve and is awarded by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child.
The staff at HWCEC are already hard at work, creating portfolios, conducting self-assessments, making improvements, completing checklists, and so much more. This will lead up to a 6-month, in-person evaluation process (estimated to begin in March 2024). The accreditation preparation involved is intense and demands full participation from every team member. This is on top of their daily duties, which ensure every child receives the excellent care and education that HWCEC prides itself on delivering.
We are in need of funding to award monthly and quarterly appreciation gifts for our team members, as well as organizing a grand prize trip once we achieve accreditation. Please consider donating to Helen R. Walton Children’s Enrichment Center to fund this appreciation initiative to help us say “Thank You” to our hard-working team members. No amount is too small as it will all go towards thanking our wonderful community for all their hard work.
