We are excited to report that we are working through the NAEYC Accreditation process. This is the highest accreditation level in the US that an educational facility can achieve and is awarded by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child.

The staff at HWCEC are already hard at work, creating portfolios, conducting self-assessments, making improvements, completing checklists, and so much more. This will lead up to a 6-month, in-person evaluation process (estimated to begin in March 2024). The accreditation preparation involved is intense and demands full participation from every team member. This is on top of their daily duties, which ensure every child receives the excellent care and education that HWCEC prides itself on delivering.

We are in need of funding to award monthly and quarterly appreciation gifts for our team members, as well as organizing a grand prize trip once we achieve accreditation.
